Below we answer the most frequently asked questions about switching to Google analytics 4.

Google analytics 4 is a new platform for capturing data about users on websites and applications, which for the time being still works in parallel with the existing analytics (UA).
GA4 works on a completely new user interface that allows editing logging settings data.
There are many differences between the two platforms in the way data is collected and named, so the data are not comparable.
We highlight some key changes in data collection:
Events (events) in Google analytics 4
Newness brought by Google analytics 4 are the events that are the basis for data analysis and the biggest change brought by the new analytics.
These are all interactions that the user performs on the website or application, such as page view, click on CTAs, screen view, events, etc. Events, as we knew them in the existing Google analytics, cannot be transferred to the new model, as they have a different purpose, so we suggest thinking about the new creation of events for data capture.
Some events will already be automatically created by Google (such as page views, session start and scroll), while others will need to be created handwritten.
Parameters are additional information in Google analytics 4 that enrich the meaning of events (they define a specific action performed by the user or add additional context to the event).
User ID
User ID is used to track users between different channels.
Goals (goals) in Google analytics 4
Goals will no longer exist in the new Google analyst. They will be replaced by events.
Bounce rate in Google analytics 4
Also, with Google analytics 4 there will be no more drop rate. To view this data, you will need to set up a conversion event.
By the time when the existing Google analytics will stop working, it is necessary to switch to Google analytics 4 (GA4) and reset all metrics for data capture and analysis, because only these will not be created automatically just by switching to GA4.
As we have already mentioned, there will be no more goals in the new analytics, so it will be necessary to create new goals as events and equip them with parameters.
The deadline by which it is necessary to switch to Google analytics 4 is 1.7.2023, as after this date the existing analytics will no longer collect data.
However, we suggest not delay until the last moment and arrange the switch to Google analytics 4 as soon as possible, as this will allow you to transfer all the settings that will be lost after this date in time, and at the same time you will be able to have insight into the data on both platforms and compare the capture between them until the complete termination of the existing platform data.
In this way, you will be able to gradually get used to the new platform and the transition to Google analytics 4 will be less stressful.
A new acquisition is also Google's artificial intelligence technology for discovering and predicting new insights, which is built to keep up with the ever-changing ecosystem of the World Wide Web.
New analytics bring a lot of innovation and a way to capture data, so it will take some time to get used to the new mode.
